Multiple Segment Deployment

tect a network with multiple segments.

Additional Considerations for Multiple Segment Networks

When deploying the appliance to a multiple segment network, consider the following:

• The default gateway must be located on the external (EXT) side of the appliance

• Use the same default gateway setting for both the appliance and the router that

connects the device to the segments.

• Using the appliance Web console, add the static routes for each segment to the

appliance.

• Disable the proxy settings from the HTTP URL Filtering screen if traffic is not

passing through the appliance.
